A new and innovative Flanged Maintenance Pipe (FMP) system that will save time and money.

Flanged Maintenance Pipe (FMP) has been primarily developed to replace split steel or other types of split duct materials in underground applications. It is superior to all others for this application because it has been engineered to work with existing underground utility conduit. This is the only engineered split system with an inside diameter to match the outside diameter of utility conduit.
FMP is a two piece flanged trough or duct basically used as mechanical protection for pipes, wires, cables or other services in both underground and on the surface applications. This ingeniously simple design lends itself to a wide variety of applications. Installers appreciate how easy it is to work with.
Unlike other engineered split duct systems, FMP does NOT have a belled end. There is no need for it because the inside diameter matches the outside diameter of utility conduit. This also eliminates the need for couplings to attach to the utility conduit. This feature of FMP greatly speeds up the process and reduces time, labor and costs during installation.. The staggered joint system totally eliminates the use of couplings in straight runs. The resulting conduit is so strong that it can literally be picked up and moved after assembly if/when necessary.
FMP was engineered to take advantage of the two piece sectional design which enables, when necessary, the placement of additional cable and services. Stainless steel fasteners (included with FMP) will insure easy entry for future access if/when necessary. The inside diameter of the FMP is roughly fifteen percent larger than that of the conduit it is repairing or replacing. The larger inside diameter makes it much easier to lay in those extra cables or services.
FMP’s flanges can be used for hanging and supporting at suitable points. The flanges have slotted holes for easier assembly. The flanges can also be used to support additional runs of duct to extend the number of ducts in a horizontal or vertical run. The resultant duct run is incredibly strong.
FMP comes standard in Galvinized Steel Pipe (GSP) and is also available upon request in Black Steel Pipe (BSP). Sizes range from 2” to 6”. To accommodate the staggered assembly the standard lengths come in 5’ and 10’ sections (custom lengths available upon request). The wall thicknesses are available in .137’, .188” and .250”. Our lightest wall is significantly heavier than other flanged split duct systems on the market. Why? Our research revealed that anything thinner (say a 14 gauge wall) is exposed to a much greater risk of a backhoe bucket tooth piercing through the thin metal. The results to the cable would be disastrous!
