Ethernet PON Solution (E-PON)
The 1U form factor OLT (Optical Line Terminal) supports up
to four PON ports. Each PON port supports 625 Mb of symmetrical
bandwidth shared across up to 32 subscribers. The ONU (Optical Network
Unit) features one PON interface port and one 10/100 Ethernet port.
The E-PON solution combines simple Ethernet functionality with a
full suite of security, monitoring and administrative features for
telecommunication applications.
Features:

cost-recovery through data-only services.

bandwidth for voice, video, data, and emerging applications. However,
does not require a full suite of services in order to pay for
equipment.

available for system administrators.
