Stainless Steel Fiber Optic Tubes
As the inventor and owner of the technology for placing optical
fibers into stainless steel tubes, AFL Telecommunications offers a
range of tube sizes and fiber counts for a variety of applications.
Each tube is flooded with a thixotropic filling compound and
hermetically sealed to protect the enclosed fibers from environmental
degradation. AFL’s stainless steel tubes are suitable for use as a
component in aerial applications such as Optical Ground Wire, for
buried applications, and for special oil and gas applications. The
most common sizes and fiber counts are shown below as the standard
