A service provider can deliver the user a package of Television, on demand film, broadband internet access, telephone services and other products. The delivery medium is Coaxial cable from the nearest cabinet, whether in a residential or business district. The coaxial cable medium is ideal for transmission of the high frequency carriers required, enabling minimal interference/noise to be accumulated. While cable systems are efficient at delivering the services intended, they are vulnerable to lightning induced surge events like any other multi-grounded communications system.

When deployed at the Cable Termination unit, the Coaxial Protector provides unrivalled protection against direct or induced lightning based surge events for the clients home or business equipment.

Secondary surge protection at the "sensitive electronics" is a must to reduce damage from a near-by-lightning ground strike. The ensuing "Ground Potential Rise" conditions from a near-by bolt of lightning often leads to fault currents which will equalize across circuitry. Most vulnerable are electronic products, which under normal circumstances are connected as a fuse link, between the Multi-Grounded-Neutral and additional remote earth ground connections.
