IDEAL
has launched the LANTEK® 7G - the world's first cable
tester fully compliant with the emerging Category 7/ISO
F standards. The company also announced the introduction
of the LANTEK 6, a fully compliant Category 6/ISO E cable
tester. Both new testers offer the industry's most advanced
fiber options.
The
LANTEK 6 and 7G testers are designed to speed network
installation and troubleshooting, also offering greater
accuracy in both fiber and copper environments.
To
complement the two LANTEK testers, IDEAL will introduce
a variety of fiber accessories. These include signal
loss, length and delay measurement kits for both Singlemode
(SM) and Multimode (MM) fiber, talkset that allows the
ability to talk over fiber and an advanced troubleshooting
option that will trace fiber runs and report magnitude
and distance to events. New IDEAL fiber accessories also
allow installers to generate and store detailed reports.
With
the advanced fiber accessory, FIBERTEK, the LANTEK 6 & 7G
provide comprehensive fiber and copper testing. All applicable
copper and fiber standards, both ratified and in draft
form, are supported. In addition, FIBERTEK has an advanced
feature called TRACETEK which traces and locates events
along a fiber with a magnitude as small as 0.3 dB. This
allows you to perform some of your work without the need
of a more expensive OTDR.
