Plastic Optical Fiber Data Link Connection System



The AFL Optical Data Link combines the benefits of fiber optic signaling with the convenience of plug-in PCB electrical termination.  It is designed to permit fast, reliable, self-termination of single channel plastic optical fiber without the needs of special tools, adhesives or polishing.

Features:

  • Terminates plastic fiber optic cable in seconds without tools, adhesives or polishing.
  • Compatible with 1000um diameter simplex fiber with an OD of 2.25mm.
  • Polarized plug provides positive, snap retention with a Quick-release latch.
  • Suitable for terminating data transmission links at data rates of 3Mb/s and 10Mb/s.
  • Opto-electrical interface includes a TTL compatible receiver and LED driver.
  • Color coded housings enable easy identification of transmit or receiver ends.

Loopback Connector



This standard fibre channel design is used in testing transceiver systems. The loopback is rugged and compact to withstand multiple uses and features a flexible length for any testing requirements.
