Description

EZ-SEAL is a one-sack, easily mixed granular Bentonite product intended for use as a grouting and plugging material. A patent is pending for EZ SEAL.

Applications/Functions

• Seal or grout plastic and steel casings
• Plug abandoned boreholes and fill earthen cavities
• Grout ground source heat pump loops
• Reduce lost circulation

 Recommended Treatment

 Add one 50-lb (22.7 kg) sack to make-up water to obtain the desired solids: 

Once EZ SEAL is added to the mixing water, the slurry will look like “oatmeal” containing many partially hydrated bentonite granules. It is recommended the product should be blended, not over mixed. The unyielded bentonite granular will continue to swell in-situ after emplacement to create a tight seal between casing and formation. Any positive displacement pump that is capable of producing uniform flow rates is recommended for mixing the grout.
 
Packaging

EZ SEAL is packaged in 50-lb (22.7 kg) multiwall paper bags, containing 0.7 cubic feet.
