BAROID, "ZEOGEL", SALTWATER GELLANT / VISCOSIFIER, GROUND ATTAPULGITE CLAY. (50) 50 lb bags to a pallet.
Description
ZEOGEL, attapulgite clay, provides high yield and rheological stability in systems that contain large concentrations of salt. ZEOGEL exceeds the API Specification 13A viscosity requirements.
Applications/Functions
ZEOGEL can be used to build viscosity in drilling fluids having a high salt concentration.

Recommended Treatment
To increase the viscosity and suspension properties of salt water drilling fluids:
- Add 50 to 75 pounds (22.7 to 34.0 kg) of ZEOGEL per 100 gallons (378.54 liters) salt water. ZEOGEL is added through a high shear mixing hopper at a rate of 3 to 10 minutes per sack.
Packaging
ZEOGEL is packaged in multiwall paper bags containing 50 pounds (22.7 kg). Special export packaging containing 25 kilograms is also available.
